The Italian VEGA PARK hosted the recent 2-day training and study tour of the FIDIBE Partners.

The impressive development of VEGA PARK at Venice was introduced to the Partners, as one of the best practices of how an unused and environmentally polluted brown-field industrial area can be converted into a high-tech location for more than a 100 techonology oriented companies. It is also a good example of the effective usage of the ERDF funds.

During the 2-day training programme the representatives of the Partners learned and discussed 3 main topics of the which are vital for the establishment and operation of Innovative Business Parks: "Scientific parks and territory:
- dynamic models of development”, “Technology Parks and business
- angels/venture capital to support sustainability”, “Methodology, practice and
- experiences from comparative case studies in the EU” and "Quality
- Management at EBN (European BIC Network)".
